Overseas Filipina Workers currently housed in MWO-Dubai’s Migrant Workers Resource Center get treated to a Pluma circus show on 15 December 2024 and received food donation from Filipino Community on 16 December 2024, respectively.
On 15 December 2024, Migrant Workers Resource Center wards enjoyed the Pluma circus show in Dubai Festival City. PLUMA circus depicts the story of self-discovery and empowerment through a little girl’s tale of dreams and growth, which, to a certain extent, resonates with the plight of the distressed OFWs and their journey in overcoming adversaries.
Prior to watching the circus show, the ladies also got treated to nice dinner at Dencio’s courtesy of FYMB Dubai, a Filipino group composed of seabased workers based in Dubai.
The following day, the ladies received donations from Ms. Cathy Rueda, her family, and the Courageous Faith Church. They were likewise offered encouragement and inspirational talk to guide them as they try to overcome the challenges that they are facing.
The recent activities for MWRC wards show the MWO-Dubai and Northern Emirates’ steadfast commitment in ensuring that distressed OFWs are provided not only with reintegration assistance but also relaxation and other activities which boost their wellbeing and state of mind. The MWO Dubai also commends the Filipino Community in Dubai and Northern Emirates for sharing their blessings with the wards.
