Dubai, UAE – A new fitness facility is now available to Filipina migrant workers housed at the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Dubai’s Migrant Workers Resource
Center, providing a dedicated space for exercise and physical wellness activities. The fully-equipped gym, officially opened on November 15, 2024, marks an important step in MWO-Dubai's ongoing efforts to support the physical and mental health of distressed Filipina workers in the Center as they prepare for their eventual repatriation and reintegration back to the Philippines.
The gym is part of a broader welfare and reintegration program led by MWO-Dubai and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), aimed at helping Filipina workers recover from the emotional and physical challenges they may have faced during their stay in the UAE. By offering them a space to engage in fitness activities, MWO-Dubai hopes to promote a holistic approach to wellness, ensuring the workers are not only physically strong but mentally and emotionally resilient as well.
